Mark Webber (born July 19, 1980) is an American actor, screenwriter, and director known for his roles in the films Snow Day, Weapons, The Laramie Project, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Webber was born in Monterey County and grew up in nearby Carmel Valley where he graduated from Carmel High School as co-valedictorian of his class.

He attended Stanford University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in computer science and French. While at Stanford he was a resident of the Honors Program, an experience he calls “the most important thing I’ve done.” He said that “in college, I realized that I wanted to be an actor. That’s what truly compelled me.” After graduation, Webber joined the New York theatre company Ars Nova and later moved to San Francisco.

His mother, Cheri Lynn Honkala, is a noted advocate for the homeless in Philadelphia and was the vice-presidential nominee of the Green Party in the 2012 presidential election. In 1989, he and his single mother moved to Philadelphia, where they spent time homeless, living in cars and abandoned buildings, and struggling to survive during the harsh winters.

Career

Webber began his acting career in 1998. He favors “offbeat independent productions and challenging roles that involve intense characterization.” In March 2019, Webber was cast as Grey McConnell in the ABC crime drama series Stumptown which was written by Jason Richman. After the series was ordered, Webber was replaced and the role was recast with Jake Johnson.

In 2002 mark did a TV Movie name The Laramie Project, in 2008 done episode 207 with the title T Takes. Later in 2010, he did shows Medium and Gift Of The Magi.
